Welcome!
22nd August 2011
August, which is usually a quiet month in many work calendars has turned out to be an exciting and eventful time at The Learning Labyrinth. So in this months Labyrinth News I want to update you on a new LinkedIn course that we have developed and I am also very excited to introduce two new members to the Labyrinth team.
Firstly, I have been designing a series of exciting new workshops with
Kate Bacon (Communications Genius) called the Power Of LinkedIn, and will be sharing some of the highlights with you via the Labyrinth News over the coming weeks. We are happy to announce that we will be offering the course at a reduced rate to the first 4 readers of Labyrinth News who sign up!
I believe that networking is critical to business success and at The Learning Labyrinth 80% of our business comes from referrals, that's why I continue to be excited about LinkedIn. I am a natural networker (confirmed by my Belbin profile!) but I have maximised my use of LinkedIn over the past 12 months and seen tangible and measurable business benefits.
LinkedIn is a free online data base of potential high quality and trusted individuals which allows you to source business advisors and connect to the right people. This will in turn allow you to find clients, candidates and contacts efficiently and at no cost.
Read on to find out more.

New Team
This month I am very happy to welcome two new team members to the Labyrinth team:
Jo Godden,
whom I made contact with through LinkedIn, is joining me to provide Marketing and Business Support. With a background in Management, she, (like myself) is a big fan of LinkedIn, Belbin and Twitter and has used Belbin Profiling to create powerful teams both in the US and the UK.

Aurelija (Aura) Jecyte is an E-Learning Design graduate who is excited about joining us, and is about to design a series of E-Learning modules for The Learning Labyrinth. She has background in Multimedia Art and Marketing and is looking forward to using her skills for new challenges in the world of training and development.

As The Learning Labyrinth goes from strength to strength I have found Linkedin to be a great resource in building a broader network of professionals to help support the growth of the business (as well as helping me to communicate with my customers).
I hope you will be able to join us on Sept 29th or on a future session to learn how you can obtain the same benefits as I have seen. Alternatively, call me to discuss how we can deliver a LinkedIn training programme designed specifically for your needs.
My best regards,
Gary
